Flying Training School in February 1936, from where |

was posted as a flight commander to No.83 (Bomber) Squadron. |

April 26th 1936 Flight Lieutenant Read was posted to the Electrical and
Wireless School, RAF Cranwell (Under instruction). On completion |

his course he was posted on January 13th 1938 to Station HQ, RAF Aldergrove. |

|

| On October 28th 1938 Flight Lieutenant Read
was again posted, this time to Admin Staff, HQ British Forces Aden (Steamer
Point, Aden) |

personnel duties. He also served British Forces Cario, and was for a while
seconded to the American Legation (Admin) also based in Cairo, |
