This photograph was taken in February 1943 while the crew were still training with No.1657 Conversion Unit. Pilot Officer Harris is standing in the centre of the picture. The crew failed to return from an operation to Berlin on March 29/30 th 1943. They were on their ninth operation. Their names are recorded on the panels of the Runnymede Memorial.
